Reproductive Rights Petition Signing Event this Sunday!

Take Action

Help the effort to turn out in an unprecedented way on August 8. We have to show extremist lawmakers how out of touch they are. We have to show them that making it essentially impossible for any future citizen-led initiative to get on the ballot violates the will of the people they were elected to serve!

Ways to get involved in “VOTE NO IN AUGUST!”

Helpful Resources

Ohio House Bill 1
This massive tax bill would flatten the state income tax to 2.75% and modify property taxation; would gut local government and public school funding

Ohio House Bill 6
This bill would ban transgender female students from female sports teams by requiring “single-sex” sports teams for K-12, college, and university sports.
TAKE ACTION now to tell all House Representatives to reject these targeted attacks against LGBTQ+ students and let ALL Ohio students play sports!
House vote may be coming soon.

Ohio House Bill 12
This is the state takeover of public education that would create a new Department of Education and Workforce.

Ohio House Bill 68

Ohio House Bill 103

Ohio Senate Bill 17
This would inject incomplete, biased perspectives about “free market capitalism” into high school financial literacy standards. Students need an honest, complete understanding of all market systems taught in appropriate social studies classes,

Ohio Senate Bill 83
This higher education bill bans mandatory DEI training, controversial topics, partnerships with China, and collective bargaining; requires specific material for history courses; requires reporting and publishing of violations and performance evaluations; withholds state funding and tenure for violations.
SB 83 has now been slightly modified. Some items related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) training were altered, while other controversial provisions stayed the same. The bill would now allow mandatory DEI training at universities only when related to accreditation, licensing, and grants. It clarifies that the ban on financial partnerships with China doesn’t include tuition from Chinese students. And it says no topics are banned, but faculty must allow intellectual diversity to be expressed. The bill still prohibits universities from taking public positions on controversial topics, though they can lobby lawmakers on issues.

This past Wednesday, Senate Bill 83 passed in a 21-10 vote and now moves to the GOP-supermajority House for committee consideration.
