Ohio Budget Toolkit 2023
We have a detailed document breaking down Ohio budget proposal measures, with links to resources to understand terms and procedures, as well as detailing the partisan actions the Statehouse Republicans are trying to enact to strip basic freedoms, protections, and benefits from Ohio’s vulnerable and needy populations. It also provides links on who to contact regarding voicing your opinion on budget measures.

It was a fantastic meeting with Stonewall Democrat President, Brooks Boran and Gabe Mann, the Communications Manager with Pro-Choice Ohio.
Tomorrow is the June meeting
I’m really excited about our meeting tomorrow.
We are celebrating Pride and our speaker will be Brooks W. Boron. Brooks W. Boron currently serves as the President of the Cleveland Stonewall Democrats, the voice of LGBTQIA+ and Allied Democrats in the Greater Cleveland area. Brooks is a proud queer, labor attorney representing public and private sector labor unions throughout the state of Ohio. Brooks is a lifelong Clevelander and currently resides in Strongsville. At age 12, Brooks worked on his first political campaign for John Kerry’s run for President. Ever since he has been involved in the campaigns for President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Sherrod Brown, and countless other state and local races. Brooks attended The George Washington University where he worked on Capitol Hill in Senator Sherrod Brown’s office. During his time in law school at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Brooks worked in the Ohio statehouse and was a legal intern for Planned Parenthood. Brooks is involved with queer political advocacy at the local, state, and national level, serving on the steering committees for the Ohio Democratic Party’s Pride Caucus and the LGBT+ Victory Fund Campaign Board.
