At age 12, Brooks worked on his first political campaign for John Kerry’s run for President. Ever since he has been involved in the campaigns for President Joe Biden, President Barack Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Senator Sherrod Brown, and countless other state and local races. Brooks attended The George Washington University where he worked on Capitol Hill in Senator Sherrod Brown’s office. During his time in law school at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, Brooks worked in the Ohio statehouse and was a legal intern for Planned Parenthood. Brooks is involved with queer political advocacy at the local, state, and national level, serving on the steering committees for the Ohio Democratic Party’s Pride Caucus and the LGBT+ Victory Fund Campaign Board.
