“Vivek Ramaswamy has shown us the lowest bar possible for any candidate running for office.” – State Minority Leader Nickie Antonio
In many ways, we’ve all grown numb to the exhausting barrage of attack ads that the Republican Party has put on our airwaves these last weeks and months. But the latest attack on Dr. Amy Acton crosses a line that should be clear to anyone who believes in basic decency and respect for survivors of abuse.
This is not an attack we can simply shrug off. Voters must hold Ramaswamy accountable for the choice his campaign made to make and run the ad. So if you talk to people about voting, mention this ad. And say that Ohioans deserve much better than this.
We stand with Dr. Acton and all survivors of abuse. They deserve to be treated with dignity, not used as targets in political attacks.
We Need Election Day Volunteers!
From our City Leader, John Zuercher:
- Election Day is coming up, and we need volunteers to work the polls. If you have availability, please sign up here: Election Day Volunteer Form. You don’t need to cover an entire shift. If you can’t do the full time slot, feel free to split a shift with another volunteer.
- We will also be passing out our own Rocky River version of the sample ballot, which includes our recommendation on the Rocky River charter review. You can view it here: 2026 Sample Ballot Voter Guide
- A note about the Rocky River Charter Amendments: our one recommended NO vote is on the proposal to move to nonpartisan elections. We see this as an attempt by the Republican Party to remove party labels from the ballot now that MAGA Republicans are in the minority in Rocky River.
Thanks for all you do!
John
