Members of our coalition of 228 organizations from across Ohio plan to show up to say, ‘“NO to HJR1.” On Weds. May 3, we will march to the House Chamber so we can make it clear that we stand together to defend “one person, one vote.” More details when you RSVP.

DEMOCRACY NEEDS YOU!

TAKE ACTION: Say NO to:
Ohio House Bill 1
This massive tax bill would flatten the state income tax to 2.75% and modify property taxation; would gut local government and public school funding.
This is the state takeover of public education that would create a new Department of Education and Workforce.
Ohio House Bill 6
This bill would ban transgender female students from female sports teams by requiring “single-sex” sports teams for K-12, college, and university sports.
Possible vote by the House Higher Education Committee on May 3, 10:30 am
Ohio House Bill 68
Bans gender-affirming care for minors, including referrals for mental health care treatment, exempts intersex people or people with disorders of sexual development Learn More

Senate Bill 17
This would inject incomplete, biased perspectives about “free market capitalism” into high school financial literacy standards. Students need an honest, complete understanding of all market systems taught in appropriate social studies classes,
Senate Bill 83
This is a higher education bill that bans mandatory DEI training, controversial topics, partnerships with China, and collective bargaining; requires specific material for history courses; requires reporting and publishing of violations and performance evaluations; withholds state funding and tenure for violations.
